Initially, this project was only going to be for the Enthusiasm-Awakeners singing group. But word spread — and others expressed an interest in joining in.

Here are a few question/answers and comments from those who are taking up the challenge.

Q&A:

  • Q: I missed some days, where do I find the earlier songs?
    • A: The “project materials” page — links to which are on top & bottom of each page — has all the day’s sets.
  • Q: Thank you for this noble effort. I have sung the songs for yesterday and today. Is there any other requirement? I have sent [the project information] to many all over the world and they are very grateful.
    • A: There is no ‘requirement’ — just sing and enjoy Guru’s wonderful songs! That is great you shared it with others. Please let them know that it is actually a herculean task to sing through all the songs — so not to be discouraged if they want to simplify the goal and sing just one song of the set.
  • Q: I have been taking part in your project since June 2, but I will sing all the previous songs today and tomorrow.

    • A: That is fantastic! You can always go back at the end and do the earlier days. The links to previous day’s sets should always remain on the “materials” page. By the way, it is a BIG project — so I encourage people to do as little or as much as they want. Singing even just one of the songs a day would be great 🙂
  • Q: I wish that I could have the Enthusiasm Songbooks by Sri Chinmoy —are they available?
    • A: Part 13 is available as a single book in NY. Parts 1-12 is available as a set that can be shipped anywhere around the globe. If interested, please write Parvati via purity mms. (Images of covers and links to songbooks are here)
  • Q: I came to the project a little late, so I will have to scramble to catch up with the Enthusiasm-Awakeners songs.
    • A: I wouldn’t recommend trying to ‘scramble’ to catch up … it is a BIG project (an ultra marathon rather than a sprint). Maybe consider either just start with Day 1 and go through the 90-days? Or, if you want to be singing the same songs as other people might be doing around the world, jump to the current day and then swing back around to the start? Also, some people are focusing on just 1 song a day which is totally great, too, in my view 🙂  Whatever is comfortable and therefore inspiring and maintainable.
  • Q: Why aren’t we just starting with the first Enthusiasm Songbook and singing our way through the songbooks?
    • A: These numbers are according to the order the Enthusiasm-Awakeners’ group learned and performed these songs in front of Sri Chinmoy — so these are long-established numbers for our group (beginning in 1999). I only got inspired to do this project only a few days before launching it — so I am scrambling to keep a few paces ahead of everyone else. To renumber all my files would be very difficult for me keep straight.Also, for the most part (90%…not 100%) they are in chronological order of when Sri Chinmoy composed the songs — in some cases, more accurately so than the Songbook order.

  • T (Germany): Every evening when I come home from work, I am already looking forward to the next set of songs! I am enjoying the songs like anything :-):-):-) Such precious songs!!! I am singing each song until I am comfortable with it. Some of the songs I know by heart already — they give me an extra thrill:-) Some I remember a little bit and it’s a joy to refresh them. And some unknowns ones that I love, I try to learn on the spot and then sing them by heart for Guru.
  • J (USA): Thanks so much for doing this! I’m doing a few things for the 90-day countdown and so happy to have this too!! Please know we appreciate all the work it is, so fun to sing these amazing songs!
  • M (USA): I thank you for giving me the opportunity to learn Guru’s Enthusiasm songs. I always wanted to learn them. I look forward to more.
  • S (Austria): I read today about your fascinating project and would love to join it. I am so happy to sing all the songs. Last autumn already learned some of them when singing at the 3100 race in Salzburg. Thank you so much for sharing all the songs. 
  • N (USA): Great project!! And, so well presented and easy to use.  I shared it with the Centre and those who join our audio meditations. Gratitude!
  • P (Canada): What a lovely singing inspiration!  Just wanted to let you know that there are many of us here in Canada who would like to sing your song offerings every day. I sing each song through several times a day and I find it fulfilling and uplifting!
  • A (Australia): I was so delighted because the other day (yesterday???) I thought to myself how I wish Parvati would do a 90 day singing project and half an hour or so later I learnt of your beautiful, joyful, inspring project!!!  So I felt very privileged you sent me the inner message first.  So now I have no choice.   ;-).  Very grateful. 
  • E (Germany): I’m so happy that you started this beautiful inspiring devotional and enthusiastic Project to celebrate Guru’s 90 Years. I love singing the Guru’s songs and with this Project I have the opportunity to commemorate 90 Years Guru’s Birthday in a special way! The website with the practice material and Guru’s Fotos und Music is so nice and it makes easy to be involved in the project. it is doing all very easy!!
  •  S (Netherlands): Wonderful initiative Devotions Songs 90-years! Super nice!! Thank you, thank you. So happy you said that even listening to the songs is honouring them! 🙂  I am reviewing all and selecting one — listening to it multiple times. A few already are sinking in. They emerge when I am out walking or biking 🙂
  • H (Canada): What a wonderful project you have created! And it is organised and set up so beautifully. Plus getting to hear Paree sing all the songs is perfect.  I will choose a few songs each day for the JOY of it.
  • P (Canada): I have been doing the 90 days song project and really enjoying being part of it. Thanks for this inspiration, it helps to have groups like these, it makes us feel more connected and part of our larger big family.
  • M (Australia): Thank you so much for this project. I have often lamented not being able to read music and learn the songs of your group.  I always loved listening to Guru teaching you the songs on Christmas trips when I was able and often wrote down the words to songs that particularly resonated with me. I need to listen all through first, then sing along with you two or three times which I do at different times during the day so it is turning into a nice little project for me that brings me back into Guru’s music world.
  • S (Austria): Thank you very much for offering to us this beautiful project of singing Guru’s songs for 90 days. Singing the songs give me so much the feeling of Guru’s Presence.
  • M (Russia): For me it is not just inspiring — it brought to the fore the spirit of the 3100 Race, it renewed my inspiration and made my life going to the new height. I feel myself so blessed to have an opportunity to be a part of this Project! 
  • S (USA): Your story of how you came to sing at the race is so inspiring. My friend from another State and I are going to do [the songs] together on the phone. I am finding some of the songs are challenging to master quickly—  but we just go on to the next one.
  • S (Germany): Thank you so much for giving the chance being part of your soulful project!!!!! Singing the songs gives so much JOY. Also, a quick look at “devotionsongs.com” already gives me peace and joy. All the details — our daily candle, the daily poem, the daily divine quality and all the  recordings — make the physical distance vanish and there is … ONENESS. And purity, purity. Blossoming flowers. Unfortunately, my English is not good enough to express how much your effort is treasured — how big is my smile.
  • K (Canada): Many thanks for the 90 songs! I am singing them with great joy (occasionally just listening). The layout is amazing— so easy to use, and inspiring. Such a great project—each time I see the word ‘Congratulation’, you have…….. I smile. Three of us are learning a group of 90 songs sent out regularly by Purnakama— we practise several times a week, and Thursday we sang the first 45 songs at Guru’s statue in the north end of Toronto. Guru’s songs always have something unique to offer, that’s for sure. We plan to sing the other 45  before Guru’s birthday.

  • N (New York): I am enjoying singing tremendously! Guru’s Enthusiasm songs are mantric and life-transforming!
  • N (Scotland): Thank you for the songs and the poems. I am so sad when I get to the last song of the day! The are so sweet and uplifting.
  • M (New York): I can really feel your heart offering and hearing Paree’s voice so simple and lovely. And then the whole group —new and powerful. So much of what we’re going through now [pandemic, etc] is so polarizing — this is very good for my heart. I sent this to a few friends and they are doing it and commenting how they are benefiting.
  • S (UK): I love the way you are arranging. It’s cool to have Paree’s whole set recording and then I love hearing the original rehearsals with the group. It takes you right back. 
  • A (Germany): I absolutely love singing these beautiful songs once again. Thank you for this Supreme project. The 3 of us are cheerfully singing every day! 
  • N (USA): I am doing it according to my capacity and singing helps me bear pressure of [so much other work]. I like it so much! I am singing one of the songs every day, multiple times. Such nice songs!
  • P (Germany): Thank you for the wonderful project — it is so special. It has filled my heart totally with joy and I am enjoying it like anything.
  • L (USA): The devotionsongs website is so beautiful and inspiring!!! I am so grateful to be part of this challenge to sing Guru’s amazing kaleidoscope of Enthusiasm songs for Guru’s 90th! I commit to one Enthusiasm song, per day (“one” song, only because started last August practicing/learning the 200 Pole-Star Promise-Light songs with Florida and Friends group)
