Comments by Guru about “Jibaner Bhar” after teaching the song on 26 February 2005 (selected from Nilima’s transcription)
Guru: When somebody passes on from our spiritual family, I would like this particular song to be sung. This is not only for the disciples, but also for the disciples’ relatives – if they are totally in favour of your spiritual life. Tonight I will put a very, very, very, very strong, divine force – very, very, very strong – into the soul of the song. It will definitely, definitely, definitely help the soul of your dear one. I have composed it from my heart, but tonight I will add, add tremendous, tremendous, tremendous divine force into the song. If anybody leaves the earth from our spiritual family, then I will be very happy if you take it as compulsory.
Tanima sings Jibaner Bhar:
Jibaner bhar niyechile prabhu maraner bhar nibe
Jibane marane tomar charane thai more tumi dibe
***
My Lord Beloved Supreme,
You took the responsibility of my life,
And now You will be taking the responsibility of my death.
In life and death You give me the shelter at Your Feet.
