27 Songs “comforting” songs by Sri Chinmoy

Each December, the Enthusiasm-Awakeners singing group celebrate the anniversary of the forming of their group by holding a sing-along.

On Sunday, 16 December 2018, over 70 people joined us in the cold and pouring rain to sing a small* selection of Sri Chinmoy’s songs. These 27 songs are ones that the Enthusiasm-Awakeners thought to be easy-to-learn and to have soul-stirring messages which are both illumining and comforting.

Since most attendees of the sing-along did not know the songs, we repeated them about 7x each. The recordings below, however, were trimmed to 3x each.

*In his lifetime, Sri Chinmoy composed over 7,400 English songs and 13,630 Bengali songs.

The recordings offered here are intended only as a tool for learning the songs. Kindly be tolerant of the recording quality, the pounding sounds of the rainstorm and of the singing abilities — and note that the recordings will best be enjoyed if **you** sing-along with the recording.

Also included here are poems by Sri Chinmoy read out during breaks in the event.
